Fairfield Inn & Suites Emporia Receives Guest Satisfaction Award from Marriott

Shamin Hotels property honored at Marriott Conference in New Orleans

March 20, 2009, (Richmond, Va.) – The Fairfield Inn & Suites in Emporia, Virginia received the Silver Circle Award for Guest Satisfaction at the annual Marriott Conference in New Orleans on March 2, 2009.  The award is based off of satisfaction numbers generated from guest surveys over the course of one year.  In order to receive the Silver Circle Award, a hotel must average between an 85 and 86.9 percent in guest satisfaction. The Fairfield Inn & Suites Emporia achieved 86.5 points - only .4 percent shy of the Gold Circle Award. The Fairfield Inn & Suites is one of 24 properties owned and operated by Chester, Virginia-based Shamin Hotels, one of the leading hotel management companies on the East Coast.
